Everyone in Blagiachka’s kitchen shares a strong passion for cooking that began to develop when we were little in our grandmother’s kitchens. Watching how they knead dough or pouring chocolate icing cakes, sprinkling with pickles or crushed biscuits and little green sprouts picked from the garden make sweet strawberries was our favorite pastime.

Cooking as grandmother did is a dream come true. But in Blagiachka’s kitchen we think about many other things. Obesity, along with the increasing percentage of disadvantaged young people who are unable to find a job, is what we want to change.

Healthy and balanced eating is constantly being written and talked about. Eating that way is not difficult! Being in good shape and, most importantly, feeling strong and vibrant does not mean excluding sweet things and cookies. Haven’t we all grown up with such things? Our lives are the result of our daily choices. What to eat and how to eat is a choice we make every day. And you don’t have to buy expensive bio products to think you have made the right choice. You need to make informed choices! You don’t have to give up a piece of cake! You need to know when to eat it properly and what products are included in it.

We have learned a lot and now we apply this knowledge in the kitchen of Blagichka. We want to pass on this knowledge to everyone around us. That is why, with part of the profits we make, we organize trainings for children from homes and sheltered homes. In these trainings, we develop the skills of young people to cook, plan their shopping for the week, choose quality and affordable food, and take care of their body and mind through the food they consume.

But the biggest support we give to disadvantaged young people is that we give them the opportunity to work in our kitchen and develop skills and work habits. That’s why most people who work in Blagiachka’s kitchen are like that.

And as an expression of our concern for the environment and the world we all live in, our ambition is our kitchen to be a place to eat, entertain and learn with zero waste. An ambitious but achievable goal helps us to be better and more responsible as a business and as a people.
